All 164 employees are being encouraged to apply for positions in New York
I was afraid of that, but did the same thing happen when the the show moved from NY to CA?
It’s not like they couldn’t see it coming…
Is this really a surprise to anyone?
Typical. At least Leno is paying the staff thru September…probably the only decent thing he has ever done. Lorne Michaels will kill this show, NBC has given him way too much power.
NYer’s making a big deal out of “Tonight Show coming back!” when TS has been in Burbank longer than than in NYC.

NBC has a long history of removing the number 1 rated person to end up with a failure. Do we really think Fallon will be number 1 ratings wise? Or will this be a repeat of a recent Tonight Show host change?

Jay’s staff is actually being paid through September.
NBC has shown what a sorry management it has. Over the years it has made huge mid judgements as far back as when they dumper Deborah Norville for Katy Couric on the Today Show. Leno was the one big ratings leading star and they’ve dumped him twice. Poor management!!0
This was to be expected since jimmy already has a show in NYC
I remember reading how Johnny Carson was mad that Jay didn’t hire any of his staff when they got laid off. An so it goes. As Jay said in his 69 Minutes interview save your money.
