Rayburn was my broadcasting hero, growing up.

Here is a unique “Match Game” video to complement the WBZ-TV promo shoot that was posted here. I think this episode was recorded close to the end of the program’s CBS run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9oSM6pXUE8&sns=em

I always loved watching talent “dial in”. But always liked those that didn’t need to better.

Ron Sanders, Newsman at WBZ and I and a mutual friend were very close during his time at WJBK TV 2 in Detroit. I saw his EMMY role and it included a clip of him with a guitar. Well, that’s what we did. My friend had a TEAC 3440 and we created some tunes with Ron. And by the way my friends name was Ron. So 2 Rons and me. Then add Curtis Gadson Also in TV at WDIV now, I believe, The creator of BET TV.. It’s weird to see Sanders with that Brush of a moustache. But we were so young then. 78 -80.

It’s good to see he even had a sense of humor and improvisation off-camera.

Love that show. Enjoyed seeing him go into ‘host mode’.

It would be great to see photos or videos of the Match Game gang at lunch in between tapings drinking it up! MG was truly one of the best game shows ever produced in my opinion!

This must have been just before Match Game was canceled.

What a career that guy had. I remember watching at that appointed time on WBZ in Boston.
