The Original Sketches Of The RCA TK42

The Original Sketches Of The RCA TK42

In case you have never seen it, here is the first sketch of the successor to RCA’s TK41 line. This is a scan of the master drawing that I have. It was given to me by RCA’s Harry Wright who designed this, the TK44 and most of RCA’s Telecine equipment.

… @ Serge Bordeleau ..friend request me if you feel like ! ..in my Bobby’s World series of photos, I posted me working a TK-41C, an IVC 500 A, an Ikegami HL-79 and I even played around with a GE PE 250 / 350 ..am thinking the three vidicons couldn’t keep up with the big 4 & 1/2″ IO ..what a mismatch, but I’m no engineer type ..am only guessing !

Wasn’t the IO tube a 4 1/2″ ? That would be a fantastic luminance channel.

…am curious ..weren’t the pickup tubes pointed in the opposite direction and mirrored to the lens ? ..or am I wrong ? ?
