Here a shot taken in NBC’s 8H last night as Brian Williams closed the ‘Nightly News’ broadcast with a tribute that was, as you would expect, one of the best ever.     One would have thought that in the 40+ years that Don did the announcing on SNL, they would have asked him to be the guest host.

    I DVR’d Nightly News last night, knowing there would be a tribute. My first thought was, I hope Bobby Ellerbee saw this. I’m so glad this was available to post. Bobby, if you’ll forgive me, I know you’ve posted this link and photo on EOG before. But, I love how Don Pardo remembers 8H. Probably referring to how it was in this photo.
