Election Night, 1976
Here’s Frank Reynolds at ABC New York during a break. Notice the Norelco cameras are still in use, but by the next presidential election in 1980, Ikigami HK312s would be in use at ABC.
For the astute, and/or obsessively observant, note the tote boards, with the “Solari Board” display. in common use on many game shows in the late ’60s, and parts of the ’70s…
Norelco PC-60 or PC-70…
The whole ABC night is on YouTube, what a psychedelic set, but alas most were watching either Cronkite or Chancellor/Brinkley.
Looked at Youtube part 17 (closing credits)–the crawl is about 5 minutes long. Looks like TV-2, they got a few TK-44a extra cameras in for the night (but not from Teletape).
I saw video of it on YouTube…Frank was wearing a gray suit that night. I think the guy in that picture might have been Howard K. Smith.
