Fresh, Out Of The Box…RCA TK11s
This photo is thought to be a 1955 photo from the first days of television at The University of Iowa. New everything…how cool!
Priceless !
@ John Maresca – I did the same thing. I also cut them out of the cardboard that my dad’s shirts came in.
Nothing like that new camera scent…
I’d love to know how they were packed. Foam, bubble wrap and peanuts didn’t exist yet. But yet they still arrived in cardboard boxes!
Reminds me of church services for WRBL in Columbus, Georgia, circa 1966.
I would have loved to have one of these for Christmas! I used to draw them on paper when I was a kid along with the rest of the setup.
some assembly required.
The hilarious thing is, if you think about the ergonomics of the Red One, Sony F55, Miro, and even the BMCC— it’s eerily similar…
Just like Christmas
Looks familiar
I learned camera with one of these, still in use at U of Iowa when I went there, 1974…
“Save the boxes. We can ship them to Eyes of Generation in another 60 years.”
It’s Christmas!
This pre-dates today’s unboxing photos and videos!
I bet they smelled good fresh out of the box!
