Remembering James Garner….
Sad to report that Mr. Garner died at his home last night in Los Angeles at the age of 86.

Maverick has been playing on the Western Channel recently. One of the Greats for sure.
Big fan.
If you have any more pictures like this of the “western street on a soundstage”, please post them. Yes, James Garner will be missed but luckily we have lots of his TV work and movies on DVD to keep his memory alive.
Theme song never left my mind.
RIP James Garner:(
R.I.P Mr. Garner 🙁
Always loved this guy. The last of the greats. He played a Canadian airman in “The Great Escape.”
The online obit made no mention of his wonderful movie pairings with Doris Day. Now he and Rock Hudson, her two best comedy co-stars, are gone. I’m sure she must be heartbroken.
Loved this guy and his wonderful movies.
Those Polaroid commercials with Mariette Hartley… Their chemistry was so great everyone thought they were married.
Great Escape
A very good actor
One of my all time favorite actors. A real class act.
A life certainly well lived…
RIP
Sad to know.
…one of my favorite actors ! ..i have a neat photo to share with the group of James and will post later .. R.I.P. Jim ! !
Oh, how sad! I loved his television and movies! RIP James Garner!
Loved the Rockford Files and Maverick. His characters always had a fun element. Thinking of his family. A fond farewell Thanks for the entertainment.
RIP JIM!
“Support your local sheriff” and “Support your local gunfighter” are classics…
He came to the ‘rescue’ after John Ritter died suddenly on his sitcom. Also, I remember him for the Polaroid SX-70 TV commercials.
A great loss.
“Rockford Files” was one of my favorites as a kid. I rediscovered the show on MeTV within the last year, and still enjoy it. It has some dated references, but mostly holds up very well.
RIP Mr. Garner
