    Just off the top of my head–The FCC told NBC to divest itself of the Blue Network, and it became ABC. But for a while, ABC remained at 30 Rock. Meanwhile, they acquired a whole entertainment center on 66th and 67th Streets between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. They got the old Healey’s Golden Glades restaurant, the old St. Nicholas Arena, a horse-riding academy and stables. But they were still at 30 Rock. So they leased the space to WOR-TV. And then after ABC got “kicked out” of 30 Rock, they took over the West Sixties, and WOR-TV moved down to the Rialto Ballroom in Times Square, where they remained until they moved out to Secaucus. When I appeared on the Joe Franklin Show, it was taped at the former Rialto Ballroom on the corner of 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue. Some funny stories about that place on another day. 🙂

    Thanks for posting! Never saw that building north of the Christian Scientist Church before. It was replaced in the early sixties by a modern building (before I moved there). It’s the only building on CPW replaced in that area. And a few years after this film, ABC would move in around the corner! Interesting to check it out on Bing Imagery.
