The Latest From 3000 West Alameda…Former NBC Burbank

Thanks to Ray Rivera, here are some recent photos from what is now, The Burbank Studios. I think most of these were taken in the area around what was KNBC Studio 10. Except for Studio 3 which Clear Channel took over and made into the iHeart Radio studio, all of the others are intact. In Studio 1, ‘Access Hollywood’ is still in production, but I think they move next year. ‘Days Of Our Lives’ is still in Studios 2 and 4. I’m not sure what’s going on here, but it seems that perhaps some of the scenery storage areas are being converted into some other kind of space…maybe a new studio? Enjoy and share! -Bobby Ellerbee

Let’s hope the Historic Murals are saved & this studio does not suffer the HORRENDOUS destruction that the 1938 built NBC Radio City Hollywood’s Network Radio Studio did in 1964!!!!!!

Access Hollywood will be leaving Studio 1, and moving to Universal around June of 2015 when their least expires here at The Burbank Studios. Yes Pat Clancey this is the same Ray Rivera who worked with you at ABC during the early 80’s.

Hopefully all of the portraits on the walls will not be painted over and destroyed. Those should be in a museum if they will not be retained. Thanks for keeping us updated on things like this. This building has so much history.

Would this be the Ray Rivera that worked with me at ABC in the early 80’s?

You should also be checking out the ruins that once was the KTLA/KMPC lot on Sunset.

Wife and I won a charity bid for a rare behind-the-scenes tour for four of the Days of our Lives sets. Health issues prevent us from going to Burbank from NJ. Would like to recover the $500 we bid. Yes, it’s legit. Does any one know anyone that might be interested? Private tour is good through March 2015. Thanks!

On The Burbank Studios site, they have a map listing “Future Development” with Stages 10 & 12:http://theburbankstudios.com/future-development.html
I read last year that Access Hollywood is moving to Universal sometime in 2015,but so far not finding any updated info yet.
“Days Of Our Lives” is staying put in Studios 2 & 4 through 2016
