The tube business was, I think, a part of the TV set maker, Hytron that CBS bought in 1951 to make ‘Air King’ home receiver sets compatible with its Field Sequential color system. Interestingly most of those home sets that were sold, were bought back and destroyed after the FCC went with RCA’s Dot Sequential color system. If the pitchman looks familiar, he should!
