It has been 60 years since I started working for CBS at its New York Broadcast Center. I spent 53 years working as a videotape librarian, videotape scheduler, Operation Sheet executive, Program Control Translator, Air Control Supervisor, Associate Director and a director of corporate sales and marketing videos. I saw it all; from 2” tape through servers, B&W to color to HD, film to tape. AT&T Long Lines to satellites to fiber. All that I have seen and much more can be found in Bobby Ellerbee’s Eyes Of A Generation. It is one of the most important sites, if not the most important, regarding the history of broadcast technology from equipment to facilities to network operations.
