Okay. When I was in my early teens NBC had a program called, “Here’s Hollywood.” 4 p.m. Eastern Time. The program was celebrity interviews and opened with the host driving down the street in the curb lane and the TV truck next to it. The host explained who was appearing on the day’s show and went to commercial. Growing up in Indiana I never knew that TV trucks could record video while moving. One of the local Indianapolis kids TV hosts showed him casually walking around Monument Circle while the TV truck recorded the scene.

I had no idea any tapes like this were still around. Great to see. The 50’s look so much more “real” on video.

Ahhh! The old neighbourhood where I grew up. Looking up Alameda Avenue, you can see St Joseph’s Hospital and the water tower at the Walt Disney Studio.
