Conan’s Late Night audience, and 0ne randomly picked guy, get a GREAT running tour (literally) of NBC’s 30 Rock Studios 6A (their starting point), up to Saturday Night Live homebase 8H, and back to the stairs as the camera crews sweat to keep up as they zoom down to the 3rd floor to MSNBC and Brian Williams doing a cut in for NBC News, all in Studio 3A, and then, backup stairs to raid the now closed commissary and the pirated food goes with them back to Conan’s home, 6A.
FYI, all the late night shows, including David Letterman, came from Studio 6A until the Tonight Show came back to New York with Jimmy Fallon as host. As Seth Meyers took over Late Night, that show moved to Studio 8G. NBC had already redone the then empty Studio 6B for the Tonight debut and that is where Fallon’s show comes from now. Studio 6B is also where Jack Paar and Johnny Carson called home when they hosted Tonight.
6A was redone after Seth moved to 8G and since, it has served as home for shows like Kelly Clarkston’s, Meredith Vieira’s and others.
